HAND-FORGED ALUMINUM TRAY WITH GLASS SERVING DISH

11.5" Embossed Aluminum Platter is marked "Everlast Hand Forged", with anchor logo. 

Aluminum giftware for the home became fashionable during the 1930s, at a time when most Americans could not afford luxury metals like silver. One of the most prolific manufacturers of aluminum giftware was Everlast Metal Products Corporation of New York City.

WILLIAM ROGERS SILVER PLATED SERVING TRAY

12.25" platter is marked "William Rogers 171", has anchor and eagle logos. May have been made in late 1800's. However, The mark Wm. Rogers surrounded by a star and eagle was used by William Rogers between 1825 to 1841 on his coin silver spoons. From 1878 to 1893, after the death of William Sr., it was used by Simpson, Hall, Miller and Company after they signed an agreement with Wm. Rogers Jr. This mark was used again off and on from the late 1800s until at least 1939 by the International Silver Co.

Marked "Southington Co, Quadruple Plate 5081 Gilt, 5081 Gilt". 

Southington Cutlery Co. operated in Chicago from 1868-c.1908,  produced silverplated brittania ware in the 1880s

By the 1850's, a number metal craftsmen had shifted their operations to the manufacturing of silver-plated wares in various forms, ranging from silver tea and coffee services to silver butter dishes, pickle castors, cake dishes, silver platters, silver tureens, and other table ware. Among the large manufacturers besides Rogers Brothers, were Reed & Barton of Taunton, Massachusetts, who began electroplating in 1848, and the Meriden Britannia Company, founded in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut, and by 1863 the largest maker of plated silver in America.
AUTHENTIC DELFT COVERED JAR WITH LID

5.5" diameter x 2.5" tall.  C. 1968. Perfect condition.

Since 1879, each hand painted article produced in Holland by De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles has been marked as shown, representing a jar, the initials JT, and the City of Delft. CM is the year code for 1968.

Excellent condition; very small nick on edge of one plate, some utensil marks.

5" tall x 3.5" x 2". Purchased in Venice in 1964.  Probably Sommerso style of very thick glass.  Unusual oval shape. Bottom is signed.

ROYAL BAYREUTH "DEVIL & CARDS" PITCHER/CANDY DISH/MATCH HOLDER

6" wide  x 5" tall. Cards are transfer decorations and devil is hand painted. Blue seal on bottom - Royal Bayrueth P.T. Priv. 1794 Bavaria suggests manufacture prior to 1919, guarantees authenticity.
